If you're already familiar with Project Playlist and its player, please pardon a brief review of the basics. However, if you want to know how to reclaim some usable real estate on your Multiply "Welcome" module, then this tutorial is for you! Your player can be placed in it's logical module: Music. Check it out... Select the code for MySpace.
Next, choose which playlist you want to feature on your player. [multiple lists sample]
Then, select your player's options. The sample player on this group's main page was configured with the basic black skin, a set song order (vs. random shuffle), and manual start (vs. auto play).
Now it's time to copy the code...
Ready for the magic? On your Multiply main page, access the "Customize" function. Next, click "Edit" on the Music module. Paste your player code in the title box. Finally, hit "Done" at the top of your page. Voila!

No way. It looks like we've stumbled into one of fugitive247's nightmares. It's torturing time! What can I say? I was bored.
Link: http://kevan.org/nohari?name=fugitive247The Nohari Window is a challenging inversion of the Johari Window, using antonyms of the original words. By describing your failings from a fixed list of adjectives, then asking your friends and colleagues to describe you from the same list, a grid of perceived and unrecognized weaknesses can be explored.
Link: http://kevan.org/johari?name=fugitive247The Johari Window was invented by Joseph Luft and Harrington Ingham in the 1950s as a model for mapping personality awareness. By describing yourself from a fixed list of adjectives, then asking your friends and colleagues to describe you from the same list, a grid of overlap and difference can be built up.Conversely, there's my Nohari Window. Fair is far. ;oD
Occasionally there come times when I want to speak my mind but am vexed by the delicate nature of current situations. Too many considerations are at stake. Where should this be posted? For whom is my input beneficial- and in what context? Will posting directly to a specific forum become part of a solution or merely more fuel dumped upon a fire? I am grossly negligent if I fail to honestly examine both my motives and methodology. These points are easy to identify with for those who value critical thought and the practical application thereof. This applies for both regular group members and those in an administrator/moderator capacity. At least that's a worthwhile collective aspiration. In the example below my reply has been slightly edited.
"With power comes fascism." - daspider Ideally, with power should come situationally appropriate discretion and diplomacy. Deletions not performed by the initial poster fall squarely into the realm of administrator privilege. I am not an admin of [this group]. I would have zero right to complain if a ["group X"] admin (or relatively, an admin from any other group to which I'm subscribed) deleted my comments. Same applies to all Multiply members. Ultimately this is Multiply's party. We are all but guests. For whatever reason(s) some parties need qualified bouncers to ensure that the host's preferences are maintained. Most approach this responsibility in the light of a trusted servant performing a necessary task. Ideally, such instances are not personal.
What seems to be missing from so many online exchanges is that people tend to forget that, more often than not, there is at least one live human being on the other end of the communication. When grievances need to be expressed it can be all too easy for this simple truth to be overlooked. Effective problem solving requires reasonable degrees of latitude to be granted amongst all parties involved. The responsibilities of ethical group administration demand this and more. Admins are essentially a site host's front line in helping to maintain a civil, productive environment for all users. Even if the site host proper was lacking in any "Powers That Be" capacity, the talents of its volunteer administrators can significantly effect proactive solutions. Volunteer. Group administrators are generally not paid for the responsibilities they assume and the services they willingly share. Administrators are rarely contractually bound to act in any manner beyond those set forth in their site host's TOS- and the site host's legal protections do not cover volunteer administrators. "So, why would anyone in their right mind be a volunteer group administrator?" you ask. I do it out of love for, and belief in the communities I'm honored to serve.
My site host has been down since January 28th, ergo I cannot resume posting to my personal blog, Dopeless Enigmaniac. Still, my petty annoyances don't stack up to much given the events of late. A quick heads up while I'm at it- Anyone who wants to know whether or not the dot com is live need only check for this image on my Multiply front page. It is normally located in the Video title bar and on each video related page/description. There is a method to my madness. Always. ;oD
Back to "rebounding"... Over the past few days there has understandably been much discussion in this region of Tuesday's tornado hell. Two firsthand aftermath reports were particularly astounding, but from entirely different perspectives. One Fulton County, Arkansas DHS employee who had to travel out to Highland on Wednesday reported that the wild weather had practically plastered dozens of cows upright against fencelines, giving the eerie but mistaken impression of having survived this ordeal. Amongst other disturbing notables, an entire strip of businesses along 62/412 had been completely leveled. Sadly, this surely includes what was the BEST Asian cuisine in the Ozarks. It is with great sorrow which I accept the unconfirmed probability that last Friday night's meal at China House was my family's final one to be enjoyed at that establishment. (Note to ArBear: Please stick to what you know and quit personifying the stereotype of an ignorant American.) 他的區域中國餐館的研究是不值得的考慮 Anyway... The second tornado aftermath report comes courtesy of fellow Arkansas Freecycle group moderator, Margaret, who had been assisting through the Red Cross with response efforts in Atkins. "Now for the good part - the community support is outstanding! ! We have had 3 cook trailors from 3 different Tyson plants come with chicken to cook, Pallets (not just cases) of Water has been donated. Olive Garden from Little Rock brought food to feed 100 people. They also brought 12 servers that stayed and served food for supper. Community members are out helping others to salvage what they can, cut trees, etc. People are donating clothes, bedding etc." Donation requests are now filtering into the Freecycle of Fulton County group for nearby areas. FYI, that group is one of the Yahell betas, in case anyone's curious. ;oD Well... My little guys are raring to go. Back to active Mommy duty. {{{hugs}}} to those who want/need 'em. ♥
It's all right here in the archived page for the 12step_freedom group. This person is obviously determined to spew his venom where it is neither appropriate nor welcome. Moreover, he seeks to engage anyone stupid enough to enable further opportunities to continue his tirades. It's pathetic individuals like clonnie who turn valid and necessary special interest communities into war zones. People read/post to addiction recovery groups for experience, strength, hope and a sense of belonging amongst others in recovery. They sure don't need the type of negativity he's selling. Please be advised that the entire text of this LiveJournal customer service report will appear verbatim elsewhere online. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. Regards, fugitive247

Apologies to any innocent bystanders who were taken aback by the replies section of the "100 Questions" entry. My handling of the situation was not a "reaction," but a prelude to an action. I make no bones about who or what I am, nor am I here to be any random element's punching bag because they don't like "fugi facet X". Screw the trolls. Screw the haters. Screw the stalkers. And mostly, screw anyone who's got some sick little notions of going after me or mine. It will not happen here on Multiply. Period. "Okay, Chris. We got that part. So, the rest of your point is...?" "Umm, okay Chris. But what's with the lists?" Oh, it's just a little sump'n-sump'n I find beneficial to do every once in a while. There are numerous variations on this format. It's just one more way for this Dopeless Enigmaniac to maintain a realistic perspective. Any elaboration beyond that would probably have to fall under "Vegas Rules," quid pro quo. ;oD

Consecutively stark-raving clean and sober, one-day-at-a-time (and a million nights!), since 1995.
Al's 10th album, "Running With Scissors" was released in June of 1999. This wicked parody of Puff Daddy's "All About The Benjamins" became an anthem, of sorts, for the 1337 world. It also became a driving promotional force for Pentium chip manufacturer, AMD. Sure, the Y2K and spec references show this song's age, but the rest of the tech-fu 'tude definitely applies, yo!
