Green Day's American Idiot is not specifically posted for those of us who actually get it. It's for the myopic or clueless wonders who don't. Many non-Americans have adopted this song as an anthem, of sorts. I don't blame them one little bit. And guess what? An ever growing number of Americans are using this song as a rallying cry for their fellow citizens to take a harsh reality check as to all the bullshit that's been allowed to run rampant for far too long.
This commentary might bring the right-wing haters out of the woodwork. So be it. Enlightened Ones, please just don't feed the trolls. Cheap shots and "the blame game" have been a significant part of the problem. These behaviors have zero to do with finding solutions. Thank you.
